SMI Building Services was formed in 2006 to provide innovative integrated maintenance services across all building and engineering trades that would add value to the client facilities. SMI has successfully carried out many multi service maintenance contracts and has established an extremely satisfied customer base.
SMI has alliances with subcontractors and suppliers with core capabilities in all building and services trade disciplines. All trade disciplines are carried out by in-house and subcontracted multi-skilled technicians, tradesmen and managers with extensive experience in both their individual trade and in multi-service roles.
SMI has combined its technical skills with its management capabilities and customer focused culture to:
- Provide a fully accountable and transparent service
- Offer current best practice maintenance solutions and a continuous improvement programme that will ensure the service being provided remains leading edge.
- Incorporate a Help Desk System so that our client’s facility managers will have real time status of all emergency breakdown call outs, programmed maintenance activities via traditional voice or online data connections.
- Use the in-house design expertise to provide single point accountability for operational performance of the building services.
- Provide a fully manned 24-hour monitoring facility with a dedicated client contact number linked to the Help Desk System to receive and action all requests.
- Access multi skilled technicians who are on call 24 hours per day to attend emergency breakdown maintenance requests.
SMI will work with all its clients via a formal continuous improvement process to address all aspects of the service being provided including management systems, customer focus, technical capability and training, and any other issue considered relevant. The continuous improvement process will be one of the key tasks of the dedicated Service Manager(s) that SMI will commit to providing.
